Why Yew tree?

Amongst some of the oldest trees on earth are Yews. They’re usually spotted around cemeteries, especially in Britain and Ireland. Despite their general toxicity, Yews have many medicinal properties (please don’t try to find them yourself though!). As if by magic, their branches are able to droop to the ground, take root, and regenerate into new trees. For this miracle they’ve been regarded as sacred symbols of death and rebirth for many centuries.
